Samic’s two separate production pits, of one and two levels, are served by overhead travelling cranes that guarantee ample versatility, a variety of specific technical aspects and production cycle efficiency. Closing and covering systems are specifically designed to allow maximum accessibility, safety and versatility in an effective production process.
Extensive vertical constructions.
Recent investment in our second pit has made it possible to operate on two underground levels to allow a total vertical construction elevation of over 30 metres. Our lifting equipment, including a double track overhead travelling cranes, allows vertical to horizontal rotation of components for pit insertion and extraction and maximum versatility of movement.
This is an essential resource for vertical construction activities in a closed and sheltered environment. It also allows our customers to carry out any required functional testing and inspection activities on the components within our workshop.
Welding & Materials
Our various welding processes include manual coated electrode arc welding, semi-automatic and automatic MIG/MAG welding, manual and automatic tube-tube plate TIG welding and automatic submerged arc welding.
In our production we work with a diverse range of materials and welding techniques, with different mechanical and chemical properties, and special constructive methodologies, in order to obtain the desired component characteristics.
IMain materials used include carbon, CrMo, Martensitic stainless, austenitic stainless and duplex stainless steels and nickel, copper and titanium alloys.
Our component construction is in compliance with all major national and international standards.
